FAQ

  • Drains

    • Why do drains become clogged?

You have to be very careful about what you are putting down the drain. For example, the kitchen sink often becomes clogged due to food getting stuck, grease, paper towels, and coffee grinds.

    • What to expect during professional drain cleaning?

One of our experienced plumbers will come to your home and ask you a few question about your home's plumbing. They will review the problem and let you know what the issue is and our recommendation to fix it, along with a cost estimate. Once you approve the plan, they will prepare the work space, clean your drain, check their work, and clean up.

    • How often is it safe to use drain cleaner?
One of the best ways to avoid major clogs is ongoing maintenance and cleaning.  We recommend cleaning your drains every month with an enzyme drain cleaner to help break down oils and grease that can be found in your pipes.
  • Water Heaters

    • What are the signs that my water heater is going out?
There are many signs that your water heater is going to fail. Some warning signs include water leaking from the heating tank, running out of hot water quickly, the age of your water heater, inconsistent water temperature in the shower, and unusual noises coming from your water heater.  If you notice any of these issues, please contact our team today.
    • Why does it take so long to get hot water to my upstairs faucets?
This is usually due to the plumbing in your home. When the hot water leaves the tank of the water heater, it has to travel through the piping to reach the faucet. If you have a larger home, sometimes it can take longer for the hot water to arrive.
    • How long should my water heater last?
Most traditional tank water heaters last between 8 and 12 years, sometimes longer when used with a functioning water softener.
  • General Plumbing

    • My toilet continues to run. Is this a serious plumbing issue?

It is likely an issue with the flapper not sealing properly.  Try to remove the lid from the tank and examine the toilet flapper for any glaring issues.  If it continues to run, please contact us.

    • What are the most common plumbing problems?
Dripping faucets, clogged drains, and water heater issues are among some of the most common plumbing problems. If you need any plumbing assistance, please call us to request a free estimate.
    • I think I have a leak. What do I do?
If you think you have an emergency plumbing leak, you will need to locate the water source shutoff valve to stop the flow of water. Please contact a licensed plumber immediately to repair the leak.
